Sound Leisure’s retro jukeboxes were on show at the recent ‘One More Time’ show held in the Reithalle in Munich. Colin Vernon was in attendance on the Horst Hess OHG stand together with the companies founder, Horst Hess, and his son Tim.

‘One More Time’ is an annual show in Germany showcasing jukeboxes, records, clothes and general memorabilia related to the golden age of Rock’n’Roll, similar to the UK’s ‘Jukebox Madness’. It was the first time many people had ever seen a Sound Leisure jukebox, on show was a white ‘Manhattan’, with ‘Diamond Pack’ and iPod options. It created a massive buzz, particularly when the lighting effects were being changed by the remote control. Dirk Hess commented…”I always thought an imperfect sound was the price you paid for the good looks of a jukebox, Sound Leisure prove I was wrong. The ‘Diamond Pack’ is really outstanding. Other jukeboxes appear to be switched off when stood next to a Sound leisure Manhattan. The best thing about this company is not just the high quality of their products, it’s the people there who constantly seek to improve them, and happily work with individual customers’ requests.
